A. JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking an experienced arts and entertainment writer to tell the stories of the events happening at the Jio World Centre. If you have a demonstrable passion for entertainment, a deep knowledge of live performances, and the ability to distill complicated ideas into concise, consumer-friendly language, this is the role for you.

B. KEY OBJECTIVES

Understand the programming and build compelling narratives for live theatre, dance, music, musicals, visual arts, hospitality, and service on a variety of storytelling platforms, while using data to alter the content strategy as needed.

C. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Write and copy edit content including video captions, synopsis, blog posts, social marketing copy, and more.

2. Create content for a range of digital, social, and print channels of the Jio World Centre.

3. Understand the content at hand and craft a message that speaks to the heart of it, whether that's a blockbuster musical, a dance performance, or a fun play for kids.

4. You'll synthesize information from content creators and critics with your own keen evaluative skills to write copy that's engaging, accurate, and a pleasure to read.

5. You'll be tasked with innovation projects that will require deep, cross-functional creative

collaboration with other writers, design, and production teams.

6. You'll ensure that external stakeholders & and agencies have timely access to relevant information.

7. You should be able to align stories, messaging, campaigns and other work with broader business objectives, strategies, and goals.

8. Ensuring that stories are the right length and correctly placed on pages.

9. Monitor analytics in real time to assess the effectiveness of content presentation and adjust as

necessary.

10. Keep content production efficient and on schedule, and maintain a high standard of quality.

11. Collaborate with others to create audio/visual assets such as photos, video and other digital

materials to support media advocacy and editorial storytelling.

D. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

1. Adept at writing and copyediting, which helps bring stories to life across various platforms.

2. Proven ability to adapt to different styles including blog posts, key messages, talking points, video scripts, social copy, and more.

3. An understanding of SEO data analysis and the ability to apply knowledge by optimizing the content for organic search intent.

4. Excellent online and in-person communication skills, to maintain positive and productive

relationships with key collaborators.

5. Authentic passion for hospitality, visual arts, dance, music, and live theatre.
