Job Description:
The purpose of this position is to assist and support the Accounts Payable function of the Finance and Accounts Department. The AP specialist is primarily responsible for maintaining books of account by processing vouchers, expense statements, travel advances and reconciliations. Maintaining the bank book by recording of receipt and payment journal entries, and necessary bank reconciliations. This position reports to the Finance Manager/ Accounts Payable Manager/ Lead.
Role:
•The incumbent in this position will be responsible for general accounts payable related transactions for the designated country. •Reviews & codes vendor invoices and performs vendor reconciliations. •Processes employee reimbursements as per applicable T&E policies of the designated country •Reviews, codes and records transactions; balances and reconciles accounting records. •Reviews bank statements, prepares payment batches, prepares tax payout details and periodically reconciles bank statement to accounting records. •Conducts quality assurance reviews, as required and assists auditors, as required. •Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned. Required Skills: •Proven work experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role •Advanced competency in accounting ERPs/ business management tools/ software •In-depth knowledge of accounts payable principles, accounting standards and industry regulations •High focus on accuracy and issue resolution •Extensive experience in account reconciliation •Great time management and organizational skills •Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. •Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, co-workers, persons from other departments and vendors. •Relevant training and/or certifications as an Accounts Payable Specialist
