Your Role and Responsibilities
As part of Technology Expert Labs - Center of Excellence (TEL - CoE), you will have the opportunity to be part of a team of IBM Delivery Consultants and Subject Matter Experts delivering expert services to customers and partners across markets on IBM Software solutions and use cases.
As an IBM Sterling Data Exchange (SDE) practitioner, you would be required to continuosly learn and upgrade your skillset and apply your strong product/ domain/ solution/ technical/ consulting expertise with IBM Sterling B2B Integration (B2Bi) and Managed File Transfer (MFT) suite of offerings, to help customers worldwide - during solution definition, design, install and configuration, custom implementation, validation, go-live, warranty phases as well as support enablement, proof of concepts (pre-sales) and critical situations.
As an IBM Sterling Data Exchange - Delivery Consultant, you will:
- Review and understand the client as-is situation, pain points and specific needs/ requirements
- Work independently or with a team
- Assist with design of a high level solution and documenting the design approach
- Install, config and customize the solution
- Support validation and deployment (on-prem or cloud)
- Analyze and resolve issues - working with Product Support, if needed
- Assist with upgrades, migrations, health checks, performance tuning etc activities
- Develop the breadth and depth of expertise around SDE portfolio. Keep abreast of changes in roadmap, documentation, new roll outs, features
- Help achieve Client Satisfaction and Customer Success measured via Quality of outcomes, Engagement, Client feedback and NPS
- Work with internal squads to develop and adopt best practices, share knowledge, create and reuse assets, work on stretch/innovation projects

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 2 to 6 years of strong hands-on experience using IBM Sterling B2B Integration & Managed File Transfer products and solutions:
- IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (B2BI)
- IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG)
- IBM Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP)
- IBM Sterling External Authentication Server (SEAS)
- IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor (ICC/ CCM)
- Readiness and experience playing remote and/ or customer-facing SME roles within and outside India
- Experience supporting global delivery across multiple timezones with a strong customer success mindset and focus
- Solution, Consulting and Domain skills
- Strong Map and business process development
- Experience with Requirements Analysis, Design, Implementation, Validation/Testing, Go-live, Post go-live assistance
- Experience with Upgrades and Migrations, Deployments (on-premise or cloud, legacy or containerized)
- Experience with Agile delivery practices and tools
- Hands-on experience with Install and Config, Enviroment setup, apply ifixes
- Experience with engaging Product Support/ Engineering for raising and resolving product related issues
- Ability to work independently as an SME, or under the guidance of Architect/Lead or IBM SME if assigned
- Strong Technology Expertise
- Programming: Java, XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, JavaScript, REST APIs
- Operating Systems: Linux/RHEL, Unix, Windows & Scripting. Optional: z/OS
- Databases: DB2, SQL Server, Oracle
- EDI Standards: X12, EDIFACT, ODETTE, SWIFT, HIPPA etc in Financial Services, Healthcare etc domains
- Communication protocols (FTP/SFTP/AS2 etc)
- Certificates & Encryption (PGP)
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, articulation, client-handling skills coupled with project/ team leading abilities
- Good communication skills - being proactive about weekly status, update on issues or defects
- Prepare and provide client presentations including demos as per project requirement
- Possess innovative mindset. Keen to explore, learn new things and share/apply them to solve problems
- Works well with team

- IBM Sterling Control Center Director (CCD)

- IBM Transformation Extender/ Advanced (ITX/ ITXA)
- Sound knowledge and familiarity with:
- Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI/IBM Cloud)
- Containerization (Docker & Kubernetes)
- AI-ML, Generative AI (LLM) and Python
- DevOps, CI/CD toolchain
- Open Source software/ tools (Kakfa, Elastic Search, Kibana etc)
