Job description

AIC's Partnerships Director is responsible for the organization's fundraising, communications, marketing, and will also act as the face of the organization to donors and visitors. Reporting to the CEO, the Partnerships Director will be primarily responsible for achieving fundraising targets, developing and leading partnerships, and communicating with AIC's key donors (local and international), as well as ensuring the successful completion of donor and annual reports. The Partnerships Director will create and execute a comprehensive communication and fundraising strategy. The individual will also work to build public awareness of and investment in the AIC mission, and collaborate with the community to produce shared, positive outcomes for children, families, and staff. On a day-to-day basis, this individual will also work closely with other staff to collect data and impressions, evaluate impact, and create written and multimedia materials and reports. The Partnerships Director plays a crucial role in shaping the future of the organisation through input into the overall strategic plan. 

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising, Networking and Public Relations:

•Take ownership of organizational growth and funding. Create and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy.

•Set and achieve ambitious yet realistic time-limited fundraising targets. Review the success and achievements against agreed targets, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement to adjust AIC's fundraising strategy and approach as and when appropriate.

•Manage and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including major contributors (local and international), general supporters and sponsors (local), the International Board of Directors, international fundraising branches/representatives, foundations, and CSR organizations.

•Drive fundraising and PR efforts under the guidance of the CEO; create a sustainable and diverse fundraising portfolio with funding streams including individuals, major gifts, corporate giving, fundraising events, trusts/foundations and other grant-makers, with appropriate priorities.

•Own and drive the creation of large-scale funding proposals in collaboration with relevant stakeholders

Donor Management, Reporting and Impact:

•Manage donor, visitor, and volunteer communication and requests; foster a positive, professional image of the organisation and proactively promote AIC's values and mission.

•Lead the donor management value chain, ranging across developing specific initiatives with various donors, designing success metrics and impact assessment processes, monitoring implementation, tracking, consolidating and analysing information from the on-site team and preparing reports to manage donor relationships.

•Manage AIC's central data repository, ensuring that all information is regularly updated and well maintained (includes all communication and reporting materials, data, photos, videos, reports, and other)

•Manage child sponsorship reporting processes, including selection of a suitable profile for each sponsor.

Communications and Media :

• Develop standardized publicity materials for awareness and fundraising.

• Take overall responsibility for supervising content updation of the AIC website and Social Media. Work on Ashraya's external communications to create stories from the AIC programs

• Create a quarterly newsletter to share with supporters, partners and funders.

• Support advocacy work with key partners and continually seek new and appropriate contacts and partnerships with relevant individuals and organisations. Develop media contacts and leverage them to raise awareness as and when needed. 

Salary and compensation:

Competitive compensation and incentives with an annual compensation of Rs. 12'00'000 depending on seniority and performance.
