Job Title : Delivery ManagerJob Summary :The Delivery Manager in Software is responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of software and eLearning/content development projects. This role involves managing project timelines, resources, and teams to ensure that software and learning solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards. The Delivery Manager works closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.Key Responsibilities :1. Project Planning and Execution :- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of software solutions.- Monitor and ensure health of the project.- Identify potential risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.- Monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders.2. Team Management : - Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including developers, testers, and other relevant stakeholders.- Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.- Conduct regular team meetings to review project status, discuss challenges, and provide guidance.3. Stakeholder Communication :- Act as a primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.- Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.- Address client concerns and ensure client satisfaction with project deliverables.4. Quality Assurance :- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain quality standards.- Conduct regular reviews and inspections to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.- Implement processes to continuously improve software development and delivery processes.5. Resource Management :- Allocate and optimize resources based on project requirements.- Manage staffing needs and collaborate with HR for team expansion or adjustments.- Ensure that team members have the necessary tools and training to perform their roles effectively.6. Budget Management :- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.- Track project expenses and provide regular budget updates to stakeholders.7. Continuous Improvement :- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance project delivery capabilities.8. Contribution to Marketing and Pre-Sales :- Gives approach, architecture and solution presentations to prospects.- Creates Statement of Works in addition to proposals, responses to RFIs and quotes.- Contributes to blogs and other marketing and production collaterals as required.Qualifications and Skills :- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.- Proven experience as a Delivery Manager or similar role in software development.- 10+ Years of experience in Project Management- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall etc.).- Strong understanding of the eLearning project life cycle and methodologies.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.- Project management certification (PMP, ScrumMaster) is a plus.- Familiarity with software development tools and technologies.
