Job Title: Senior ETL & SQL Developer ( 5 - 7 years ) Location: Bangalore/ Hyderabad/ Chennai/ Pune/ Gurugram Position Type: Full Time Department: Technology
Position Overview Annalect is currently seeking a data engineer to join our technology team. In this role, you will build Annalect products which sit atop our Big Data infrastructure and utilize our componentized design system. We're looking for people who have a shared passion for technology, design & development, data, and fusing these disciplines together to build cool things. In this role, you will work on one or more software and data products in the Annalect Engineering Team. You will participate in technical architecture, design and development of software products as well as research and evaluation of new technical solutions. Key Responsibilities: Partner with application architects and developers to build the data infrastructure used by our products. Assist Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Tech Lead in project planning (provide estimates, risk analysis, requirements analysis, technical options) Optimize operations against large databases. Help define the vision for a product, identify dead ends and routes with untapped potential. Break things, rebuild them, make them better, and share with the wider team your learnings. Involvement in full life cycle of projects (including requirement analysis and system design, development and support if required) Support and work collaboratively with teams across areas of design, development, quality assurance and operations Commit your knowledge and experience into team success A small amount of travel (when needed) to work with other offices Attend meetings to discuss and demonstrate solutions at both technical and business level Steward data and compute environments to facilitate usage of data assets Required Skills Experience and expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques Experience with SQL database design SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS) Experience with programming languages (e.g. Python) Experience in combining raw data from different sources and conducting complex data analysis Experience in building algorithms and prototypes and perform complex data analysis Experience in design and implement ETL procedures for intake of data from both internal and external sources, as well as ensure data is verified and quality is checked Experience in design and implement ETL processes and data architecture to ensure proper functioning of analytics, as well as client’s or third-party’s reporting environments and dashboard Carry out monitoring, tuning, and database performance analysis Minimum 5 years’ experience performing data warehouse architecture development and management Minimum 5 years’ experience with technologies such as SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS), and stored procedures Minimum 5 years’ experience developing code, testing for quality assurance, administering RDBMS, and monitoring databases High proficiency in dimensional modelling techniques and their applications Minimum 5 years’ experience in custom ETL design, implementation and maintenance Advanced SQL skills is a must Steward data and compute environments to facilitate usage of data assets Design, build, test and deploy scalable and reusable systems that handle large amounts of data Perform code reviews and provide Perks of working at Annalect • Culture.
