About the Role:
- PayU is seeking a motivated and experienced Associate Product Manager specializing in payments to contribute to our growing portfolio of financial solutions. As an integral part of our product management team, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing payment products that cater to the diverse needs of our clients. About the team:
- The Core Payments Product team is at the heart of everything at PayU. This team owns the core payment platform and drives identification, implementation and adoption of all payment modes that are available for our merchants. The team is also responsibible to innovate and build new-age payment solutions to offer faster, efficient and secure payment experience for our merchants and their users.
What you'll be doing:
- Be one of the owners for the core payments platforms at PayU
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, plan, and execute the development of new payment products and features
- Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment between product development and business objectives
- Conduct regular assessments of existing payment products, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to optimize performance
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform product decisions and strategies
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all payment products adhere to regulatory requirements
- Conduct user testing and gather feedback to refine and enhance product features.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs to drive product innovation
What are we looking for
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
- 1-2 years of product management experience in the fintech industry with a focus on payments.
- In-depth understanding of payment processing technologies, industry standards, and regulatory landscape.
- Working knowledge of payment products such as Cards, Wallets and Net Banking
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing payment products
- Ability to manage and multi-task under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Analytical mindset and proficiency in leveraging data to make informed decisions with working understanding of SQL
- Ability to engage with a large number of third party teams to drive business effectiveness.
- Ability to drive a cross-team functions towards targets at a daily, weekly and monthly level
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
