Summary
We are actively seeking a dynamic Contracts Manager to join our Legal Contracting team at one of the world's fastest growing and successful software companies. Leveraging knowledge of the IT industry, particularly in Software contractual negotiations (including SaaS) , the Contracts Manager’s main focus will be to negotiate, develop, and draft contracts, and partner with internal stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks whilst safeguarding and facilitating the contracting operations of insightsoftware. The Contracts Manager plays an important role in the overall operational efficiency of contracts for the Legal team. This role reports to the Manager of Contracts Operations.
What will you do?
- Draft, review, revise, and negotiate a broad range of contracts of various complexities in a fast-paced environment with customers, partners or vendors, including Software Agreements (including SaaS), Nondisclosure Agreements (NDA), Amendments, Data Processing Agreements (DPA), leases, vendor agreements, Professional Services agreements, and any other document included in a contracting cycle.
- Be a trusted advisor to the business on matters related to contracting, providing sound and pragmatic legal counsel and support of various complexities to internal stakeholders, including sales, partner and customer success teams. You will foster a proactive and collaborative approach that aligns with insightsoftware's business objectives.
- Coordinate every aspect of the contract process including review and input from appropriate business functions such as finance and services and working with other members of the Legal team to ensure effective workflow.
- Help manage administrative aspects related to contracts, including help administer insightsoftware’s contract management system and ensuring proper documentation, archiving, and adherence to internal processes. Continuously evaluate and enhance contract administration processes and playbooks to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage commercial disputes, including by working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to understand the nature of disputes and develop effective strategies for resolution.
- Work on ad hoc projects and other requests of various complexities as needed and as assigned.
- Drive continuous improvements, scalability and operational excellence in contracting processes and execution.

Required
- 5+ years of software company experience. We are, however, open to candidates with varying levels of experience who believe they are well-suited for the role and have proven experience negotiating software agreements (including SaaS).
- Possess a law degree from a recognized institution with a robust academic background, qualifying the candidate for the practice of law.
- Outstanding team player with passion for building relationships and collaborating with legal teammates and key stakeholders to achieve team and individual goals.
- Problem-solver with the ability to resolve legal and business complex issues practically and efficiently with focus and commitment through to completion.
- Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure, prioritize, manage workloads, and focus on key priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with internal teams and cross-functional partners with Customer-focused mindset.
- Flexibility to assist the legal department in its activities and its mission of various complexities as needs arise.
- Highly responsive.
- Exhibits passion and excitement and embraces a can-do attitude.
- High-level attention to minute details to ensure accuracy.
- Work in EST/EDT time zone
Preferred
- Proficiency in French or German is a plus.
- Knowledge of privacy law, including GDPR, and experience negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), are a plus.
