Job Description:
- Delivering lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions
- Designing and delivering course materials
- Assessing student performance and providing feedback
- Supervising student clinical placements
- Participating in departmental meetings and committees
- Engaging in research and scholarly activities
- Participating in college-wide events and activities
Responsibilities:
- Teaching:Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in medical-surgical nursing, including but not limited to pharmacology, pathophysiology, and nursing care of medical-surgical patients.
- Research:Conduct research in medical-surgical nursing, publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals, and present research findings at professional conferences.
- Service:Participate in departmental and college committees and contribute to the development and evaluation of curriculum and policies.
- Professional Development:Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including attending conferences, seminars, and workshops related to medical-surgical nursing.
Qualifications:
- A master's degree in nursing with a specialization in medical surgical nursing
- A PhD in nursing or related field is preferred
- Active registration as a nurse with the relevant nursing board
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a medical surgical nurse
- A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the university level
- Strong research and scholarly skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to quality education and student success.
