About the Role

The Internal Audit Business Intelligence Sr. Associate position is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a dynamic professional who is seeking a position at the intersection of data analysis and Finance. This position is part of a recently established Data Analytics team within the Internal Audit function. The Internal Audit Data Analytics team focuses on harnessing data to identify, develop, and implement solutions that allow the department to analyze risk more efficiently and effectively. This role will require a candidate who has experience in working with business intelligence programs, primarily Microsoft Power BI, as well as an understanding of business operations, in order to translate business needs into analytical solutions, and further enhance the data analytics strategy of the department.

Carrier's Internal Audit team conducts risk-based audits and recommends strategic solutions to the Carrier business units. The candidate will collaborate with the audit team to provide analytics solutions that will support the audit procedures. The Carrier Internal Audit team is located in several countries around the world, including the US, Europe, China and India. This role will provide the candidate the opportunity to work with global team members and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development and implementation of Power BI analytics solutions (includes idea generation, data transformation (ETL), data modeling, creation of visualizations, data validation, and user acceptance testing)
• Support site and process audits using existing analytic tools and developing new analytics based on business needs.
• Maintain and improve existing data analytics dashboards and solutions leveraged by the department, based on feedback from users.
• Create or maintain technical documentation for the analytic tools used by the department.
• Explore the potential application of new and cutting-edge analytic and automation tools to enhance internal processes.
• Assist in training to department members on how to utilize available tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence, or similar field with a Minor in Finance, Accounting, or a related field OR a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with a Minor in Business Intelligence or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 - 3 years of progressively responsible experience in a role focused on Business Intelligence.
• Candidate must be willing to work a daily schedule that aligns with any of the following time zones: WET, CET, or EET in order to effectively communicate with team members in US.
• Experience in extracting, transforming, and loading data (ETL), data modeling, and designing data visualizations for end users - specifically using Microsoft Power BI.
• Experience in development, testing, and implementation of analytics solutions.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Foundational knowledge of business operations.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, as well as communicate solutions.
• Growth mindset and passion for continuous learning.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing data landscape.
• Accounting / Finance experience/ Internal Audit / Internal Controls experience a plus.
• This position is based in Hyderabad.
