Position: Design Engineer – Manesar, Haryana, India Reports to: Engineering Manager, CPS/Global Back Office (GBO) Camfil is a world leader in air filter technology and was founded 60 years ago with the vision “ Clean Air is a Human Right ”. Today we are almost 6000 colleagues all over the world, and sustainability is in our DNA as our air filter products protects people’s health and save substantial energy. Our Camfil Power Systems (CPS) team in India, is presently regionally located at our Manesar, Haryana office, 30 km southwest of Delhi. At this location we are nearly 40 CPS colleagues all in all, and growing. Summary The objective of this role is to together with entire engineering team robustly and compliantly design and draft air intake systems, built to print version which comprises of sheet metal, structural steels and/or air filters based on customer´s specifications, requirements and requests, at most cost efficient while still with sufficient quality. You will participate within local and global engineering cooperating with sales teams creating fabrication drawings, 3D models sales layouts. Additionally you will from time to time, visit vendors & suppliers for expediting the domestic projects, up to 2-3 month annually. What will you do - Responsibility Summary In this role, validation, reviewing of standards and customer specifications will be essential. We believe you hold well established time management and organizational skills, as well as understanding for operational, electrical outlines/standards and maintenance manuals. The combination of thoroughness and business understanding pragmatism, when handling conceptual design in correlation with customer requirements is essential. As part of our international matrix organization, you will for example together with cross-function working colleagues interact continuously, to improve business engineering based on “lessons learned” together. You will in a seamless way interact with CPS engineering and application team(s) globally, as well as customer interaction, on frequent basis. This will include our 4-eye check inspection of activities for on time delivery & quality work, aiming for robust market competitive and cost efficient solutions for our customers. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Master's degree preferred, and well documented successful four years of experience – or more, of industrial experience in fabrication, mechanical engineering production firm. Having knowledge in 3D design software, preferably Certified Solid works Professional in Sheet metal, will be required. To also have 2D Drafting & BOM generation and weldment knowledge will be meritorious. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English , and local language is mandatory.
