Summary of the Role:
Accountable for execution of Midterm sales plan through optimized production scheduling, Dispatch planning, RM planning by coordination with commercial, operations and procurement team. To achieve reliable supply and operational efficiency by considering inventory, Plant capacities, Operational targets, regional complexities, Market requirements.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Monthly Production plan: Prepare monthly production plan by taking into consideration product specific demand, plant shutdowns, Inventory, and supply plan.
- Constraint maintenance and Capacity Utilization review: Develop understanding of manufacturing constraints and capabilities of the manufacturing location. Use the understanding in efficient production scheduling.
- Accountable for maintaining and optimizing all planning related master data as drivers for an optimal supply plan. (lead times, minimum runtimes, safety stocks, MRP)
- Inventory Management: To define and maintain appropriate inventory levels by reviewing system proposed safety stock levels. To ensure a timely material availability and to minimize the impact of demand volatilities.
- RM Planning : To review raw material stock status and provide purchase requests to procurement for placement of purchase orders accordingly.
- Intercompany Purchase : Plan and coordination with Lubrizol’s internal stakeholders to ensure timely movement and receipts of Intercompany purchases from Lubrizol entities.
- Supply Review for Sales & Operations Execution Process: To lead the Sales & Operations execution Process by preparing and presenting the Supply Review in regional S&OE meetings.
- Communication with Demand Planners and Commercial Stakeholders: Responsible for leading communications with Demand Planners and Commercial Stakeholders based on changes in the demand curves noticed.
- Engagement with team members from Commercial, manufacturing, Customer service and suppliers
- Communication on changes
- Propose solutions in case of availability issues, delays, or production issues.
- Technology: Efficient use of planning tool Kinaxis Rapid Response.
- Performance Metrics: Responsible for monitoring and driving continuous improvement to the following Metrics:
- Plan Compliance (Planned vs Actual)
- Inventory Days of Coverage (including NWSM)
- Master Data Accuracy
- Cost control
- Planning efficiency
- Plant Capacity Utilization
- NWSM
Requirements (education, experience, competencies and specific job requirements):
Education / Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Business Management, Logistics Management or other relevant degree with proven data analytics skills
- Preferred MBA Degree in Operations/Supply chain from reputed university
Experience and Skills:
- At least 10 years of experience working in Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management, Supply Planning,
- Advanced mathematical and analytical skills
- Detailed knowledge on Supply Planning and Inventory Management
- Good understanding and experience in SAP S4 HANA
- Knowledge of Kinaxis Rapid Response
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Specific job requirements
- This role is expected to contribute on individual level as well as develop strong collaboration with other stakeholder to deliver results.
- Ability to work in different time zones(US/Europe – 8.30am to 5pm)
- Ability to engage/Influence regional and global teams
