Role Definition:
Inventory Analyst is responsible for working on Inventory Control Services for multiple Cat parts facilities.
Responsibilities:
Provide Claims & Returns support for various service parts facilities / Logistics Centers located in US, Europe and Asia Pacific regions.
Handle queries from business partners, suppliers, and dealers.
Make sure to achieve desired results for the assigned inventory control services such as resolving griefs in material receipts, supplier payments, warehouse audits, claims, returns, inventory adjustments etc.
Perform effective collaborations with suppliers, dealers, and client facilities.
Work with multiple teams to enable suppliers and dealers on-boarding them into Caterpillar EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) requirements.
Effectively manage escalations and communications with the facility and respective teams.
Develop root cause and corrective actions to improve processes.
Develop workflow management and risk analysis for new implementation/automation.
Lead ongoing process efficiency projects.
Collaborate with other teams to find synergies and implement process changes / improvements.
Expand the scope of services and value-added services to the existing facilities.
Conduct brainstorming sessions and generate Continuous Improvement Ideas.
Support team on automation projects.
Develop new analytics for the Cat facilities.
Report metrics to Cat facilities by using Power BI dashboards.
Ensure on-time completion of deliverables.
Degree Requirement:
Candidate must have 4-year college degree.
Work Experience:
Minimum 6+ years of related experience in Supply Chain Management or Logistics or Warehousing functions.
Skill required:
Broad working knowledge of the Parts Distribution Network and Supply Chain Management.
Strong data analysis skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse customer base in a global environment.
Knowledge on Claims, Returns, Inventory Adjustment and Location Audit to ensure Inventory Control for the facilities.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English with the ability to influence a variety of personnel.
Strong customer focus with the ability to work effectively with a diverse customer base.
Knowledge of Parts Network, Supply Chain Network & Distribution Facility Network and Lean methodology.
Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word).
Other applications (SAS, Power BI, Power apps etc.).
Strong background using statistical analysis leveraging different technical tools.
Willingness to work in US/UK/Australia timings.
