Appfire is Looking for: Job Purpose And Overview Join our infrastructure team as a Senior System Engineer and contribute to the success of our Infrastructure automation using Python for various applications using Atlassian Bamboo, Jenkins, and Node.js to write custom scripts for application integration in multiple APIs and better Cloud. You will work in various cloud platforms and at an expert level in AWS, Azure, and GCP. We continue to provide high-quality support in integrations using APIs and the AWS Lambda function in the cloud platform. You will collaborate with the team to help us find the automation possibilities and Improve the automation process.
What you will do: - Rapidly gain functional knowledge of Jira, Bamboo, and Cloud Platform as a user and administrator, and deep functional knowledge of our products in ITOps / Infra Tools
- Contribute to the InfoSec process by integrating APIs using automation tools and providing a user-friendly environment.
- Ensure to work with ITSM tools and processes to handle user requests for better customer satisfaction.
- Work on internal tooling to improve and scale the validation process, including custom automation.
- Deep understanding of AWS Boto3 to develop custom automation
- Work closely with ITOps and Infrastructure team to automate and optimise the AWS cloud platform
- Improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention by seamlessly integrating Jira, Atlassian Bamboo/Jenkins, BetterCloud, or AWS
- Lambda for end-to-end automation of development and deployment workflow.
- Conduct performance monitoring and optimisation activities to identify bottlenecks and enhance system performance
- Coordinate with external vendors or partners involved in the integration process
- Create comprehensive documentation, including integration specifications, technical diagrams, and user guides. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and share best practices with team members.
- Continuously improve automation solutions to meet evolving business needs and requirements.
- Develop robust API integrations using REST protocol, improving efficiency and enabling real-time data synchronization.
- Implement automation frameworks for system monitoring, alerting, and incident response, reducing manual effort and improving system reliability. Automate routine tasks, ensuring proactive detection of issues and minimizing downtime
This Role Requires: - 5+ years of relevant experience.
- An autonomous and self-organizing team member capable of achieving assigned objectives.
- Strong skills in defining, writing, and executing automation tools and creating test scenarios.
- Excellent analytical and observation skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to understand complex software products and their usage.
- A curious and adaptable mind, capable of learning while delivering value.
- Engineering degree in software, software/computer science, or related domain.
- Solid written and verbal English communication is mandatory.
- Excellent skills in any one Cloud Platform and one automation tool proficiency
- Knowledge of Atlassian products such as Jira would be a plus.
