Job Description:

Role and Responsibility:

1. Candidate should have knowledge of international logistics operations, marine operations, trade practices, custom practices & policies, logistics procurement and negotiations.

2. Collaborate with the RFP Manager to build, maintain, and support the implementation of ASO (Advanced Sourcing Optimizer) tools for Ocean, Air, LCL/Consolidation, and Customs Brokerage.

3. Manage communications with vendors during the RFI (Request for Information) and RFP (Request for Proposal) processes.

4. Work with the RFP Manager to analyze various scenarios and proposals.

5. Monitor and manage Minimum Quantity Commitment (MQC) agreements with carriers.

6. Regularly update and maintain carrier rate information, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

7. Create and maintain carrier’s agreements & rate contracts quarterly & annually.

8. Utilize data from the Routing Guide for uploads and downloads, which will be used for internal analysis and reporting.

9. Evaluate the variance between market rates and actual rates.

10. Create and maintain a Unique O/D Pair identification code and Naming Convention utilizing Origin Supplier, Port of Loading, Port of Sailing, Port of Arrival, Destination Port, Destination DC/Warehouse/Direct Import Customer for all lanes that are or may receive shipments.

11. Maintain International Inbound Routing Guide for Ocean & Dray components.

12. Standardize the name of origin and destination shipper also maintain contact and operation data for origin and destination location.

 

What we are looking for from your experience

Experience requirement:

Must Have:

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering

2. 3-5 years of relevant experience

3. Proven experience of Marine trade and shipping, managing logistics procurement activities and familiar with INCO terms, International Trade & Tariffs & Codes of conduct.

4. Knowledge of national and international import-export regulations & commercials.

5. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

6. Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.

7. High energy and highly motivated individual with strong external and internal customer focus.

 

Good to have: Preference would be given to candidates with below.

1. Good to have experience in sourcing through ERP tool.

2. Certificate Import-Export Trades, Supply Chain Management

Educational Qualification requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering

 

Organizational Relationships:

· Reports to AM – Logistics

· Regular interactions with Global Purchasing, Supply Chain & Logistics Operations teams

· Frequent interaction with Internal & external stakeholders

This role needs to work in day shift from 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM.
