Job description
Principal duties and Essential responsibilities :- Manage and maintain DevOps infrastructure, tools for product delivery to AWS/Azure/GCP.- Build, configure, scale and maintain infrastructure for Production, Staging, Development, and QA environments, using Terraform, Ansible, Gitlab, Jenkins, and many more DevOps tools.- Should understand security best practices.- Ability to coach DevOps engineers, help with design efficiencies and solve complex problems for the teams- Propose the adoption of new technology that will create value for the team and company.- Drive Automation efforts across the organization utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as code, deployment as code and customer onboarding as code- Assist with debugging technical issues inside a complex stack involving virtualization, containers, microservices, etc. - add in the other- Provide recommendation to product architecture group to enhance delivery.- Collaborate with the engineering teams to enable their applications to run on Cloud infrastructure.- Ensure availability, reliability and performance of Automation and delivery mechanism.- Proactively propose and implement improvement solutions to common problems.- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks for multiple projects simultaneously.- Ensure projects are delivered on time.- Recommend cost saving measure/automation to help reduce implementation costs.Minimum Requirements :- 6-8 years' experience in IT infrastructure work and expertise on AWS platforms.- 6+ years of "Overall" Software Development Experience.- 6+ years of scripting and programming experience in Python, PowerShell and/or Bash- 6+ years of experience with Windows and Linux based applications- 5+ years of experience developing/Automating and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous- Delivery pipelines using GitHub Actions, Harness, Jenkins, or any other CI/CD tooling- 5+ years of experience managing/working on enterprise-wide Kubernetes platform- 5+ years of experience developing, managing, and maintaining Ansible Playbooks, Terraform, Helm Charts.- 4 years of experience with SCM tools such as GitHub- Monitoring alerts originating from tools like Splunk, DataDog- Strong troubleshooting & debugging capabilities in an agile software development team environment.- Experience working with Global organizations using SAFE agile practice- Having at least 5 years of "Overall" Software Development Experience using cloud services- Excellent knowledge in Docker and Kubernetes along with deployment experience.- Experienced at administering a code repo such as GitHub.- Development experience with Go language- Experience on "Python" Software Development is an advantage.Specific Qualifications and Accreditations :- A Bachelor or post graduate degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.- Azure/AWS associate certification.- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer.Interpersonal skills :- Good interpersonal skills- Good written and verbal communication skills- Strong team player committed to timely delivery of projects.- Ability to follow process but to remain flexible in achieving project objectives.- Ambitious, motivated, eager to learn and demonstrate value.
