Senior Mechanical Engineer - STET

- You will play a pivotal role in developing innovative mechanical components and assemblies for Personal Health Products. Your responsibilities will span the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept to post-launch support. With patient safety at the forefront of your mind, you will conduct meticulous technical analysis, simulations, and prototype testing during the early development phases.
- This highly collaborative role will require you to work closely with colleagues from various engineering disciplines, including electrical, software, quality, and regulatory. You will also engage with internal and external stakeholders, such as suppliers, operations, and procurement. Additionally, you will mentor and coach mechanical designers, providing technical guidance and feedback to foster their skills and professional growth.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that product requirements are meticulously defined, enhancing quality through transfer projects that may involve reverse engineering when necessary.
- You will partner closely with key business stakeholders to guarantee that all business needs are met and continuously improved through sourcing and concept projects.
You're the right fit if: Specify the educational background, qualifications and experience typically required to perform the job fully and effectively:
- 5+ years of experience in plastics and sheet metal design, with strong engineering principles
- Strong grasp of physics and the ability to perform manual calculations for mechanical components to determine their strength, stiffness, and other properties.
- Expertise in designing mechanical constructions in plastic and/or metal, with familiarity in mass manufacturability considerations (mold/assembly tooling design)
- Thorough understanding of sheet metal, machined, and casting component manufacturing processes.
- In-depth hands-on experience in using PTC Creo for 3D modeling and detailing, including experience with Family Tables
- Extensive experience and expertise in complex surface modeling
- Proficient in creating engineering drawings.
- Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals related to the product design and development process.
- Experience of working in Windchill or any other project data management software are preferred.
- Experience on Reverse Engineering are preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and Positive 'can do' attitude.
Quality mindset in design and documentation
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
- Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiar with the use of Product Data Management (PDM) systems
- Hands on experience on Creo / Solid-works CAD Tools such as part-assembly creation, surface modeling, mold analysis, etc.
