As our Proposal Desk Manager, you'll be the driving force behind creating winning proposals that showcase the value of our solutions. You'll lead a dynamic team , transforming complex order forms into compelling documents that illustrate ROI, mitigate risks, and leave a lasting impression on potential clients. Here's what you'll do: Build and lead : Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within your team. Process mastermind: Design and implement end-to-end proposal processes, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and consistent quality. Strategic thinker: Develop a vision for the Proposal Desk, aligning with Avalara's goals and incorporating stakeholder needs. Mentor and coach : Equip your team with the skills and knowledge to excel, fostering a continuous learning environment. Collaborative champion : Build strong partnerships with product marketing, sales, and revenue operations for seamless proposal flow. To thrive in this role, you'll need: 5-7 years of experience in software sales, preferably with a focus on proposal management. Proven track record of building and leading successful teams in a fast-paced environment with Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Experience implementing KPIs to drive results and track improvement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with tax compliance solutions or related software sales is a plus.
