Associate Analyst
Job Description Primary responsibilities: - Sales Reporting of magazine category data at all leading retailers in US, to identify trends and analyzing performance of Dotdash Meredith publisher viz-a-viz the competition.
- Generate reports on market analysis, competitor analysis, industry analysis etc. Compile data related facts and information into a well-designed summary report that allows for easy and fast interpretation.
- Remain fully informed on market trends, interpret data, formulate reports, and make recommendations.
- Provide research conclusions and strategic insights to support business decisions that enable to maximize market share and user growth.
- Use SQL knowledge to mine the data, build necessary metrics and prepare the data to build meaningful and crisp dashboards to visualize data trends.
- Adhoc analysis to dig deep into one or more retailers and/or regions based on business requirements – frequency and scope of such analysis dependent on retailers and market trends.
Required And Mandatory Skills Proficiency in MS Excel and SQL
Good To Have Analytical Skills: Work with large amounts of data: facts, figures and number crunching. Should be able to see through the data and analyze and find conclusions.
Communication Skills: Should be proficient in oral as well as written communication. Should be able to present findings and translate the data into meaningful insights. Should be able to write/speak clearly, easily communicate complex ideas.
Planning & Organizing: Breakdown projects based on priority task lists and develop work plans accordingly.
Attention to Detail: Should be proficient with Quality checks and make sure data is precise.
