Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Production Manager. The Assistant Production Manager will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day tasks associated with the production. This includes overseeing production processes, ensuring product quality, and managing staff.
Qualifications
- Analyze and determine all standards for packaging lines and ensure compliance to all schedules for processes and develop and maintain all packing orders effectively.
- Plan and share daily packing plan with co-ordination with various departments.
- Monitor and recommend improvements in processes to increase the efficiency of packaging and monitor inventory for warehouse and maintain records of all physical transactions and prepare documents for same.
- Maintain and ensure compliance to the packaging schedule and assign specific tasks to all employees and monitor all packing equipments.
- Coordinate with quality and warehouse departments to monitor everyday activities of units and ensure efficient working of both blending and packaging department and ensure continuous improvement in same.
- Manage all work according to packing schedule and maintain an inventory of materials and completion with required time frame.
- Develop team environment in department and resolve all packing issues in coordination with quality department.
- Coordinate with Factory manager and evaluate all projects and recommend ways to reduce cost and improve quality of all processes and provide necessary training and counselling to employees as per requirement.
- Ensure that final product meets quality standards and customer specifications.
- Ensure Quality, Food safety, health and environment requirement at shop floor.
- Ensure good housekeeping is maintained at all times during manufacturing.
- Supervise production team to manage and execute production projects.
- Prepare and follow the PM schedule of the various packing equipment.
- Ensure all the packing machine meet the safety requirement prior to start operation.
- Work with the team to plan, schedule and perform packing activities.
- Assign daily workload to team members.
- To coordinate in preparation of SOP's , Validation Protocol with quality and engineering department.
- Conduct training and educate people at site.
- Ensure waste minimization, safely collection and storage properly for further process.
- Responsible to report problem(s) with regard to the FSSC to the QA Manager and Factory manager.
- Develop production program and guidelines to support company objectives.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance production quality and capacity.
- Organize on-the-job training to team members to achieve production goals.
- Investigate production issues and develop resolutions.
- Determine equipment, material, and manpower requirements to achieve the target.
- Recommend cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist in employee recruitment, and performance evaluation.
- To review and act on the production plan/schedule.
- Approve the work instructions on the safety and maintenance of the machines.
- To review packing records periodically.
- To review and interact with stores & purchases.
