REGIONAL SALES MANAGER (RSM) Location: East - Kolkata
POSITION SUMMARY ยท The Area Sales Manager plays a crucial role in driving sales and revenue growth within a designated geographical area. This position involves leading and managing a team of sales representatives, developing and implementing sales strategies, and building strong relationships with clients and partners. The Area Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets, managing the sales pipeline, and ensuring the overall success of the sales team. PURPOSE AND IMPACT OF YOUR ROLE Sales Leadership: Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets and objectives Achieves regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change. Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback to team members Develop and maintain a high-performing sales team by recruiting, training, and mentoring sales staff. Sales Strategy : Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans to meet or exceed sales targets. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt sales strategies accordingly. Identify new opportunities for business growth and expansion within the assigned area. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key accounts. Identify and establish relationships with potential clients, partners, and distributors. Maintains and expands customer base by counseling district sales representatives; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities. Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and address any customer concerns or issues promptly Monitor and analyze sales metrics, including sales revenue, conversion rates, and sales pipeline. Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management. Implement data-driven strategies to improve sales performance and efficiency. Develop and manage the territory sales plan, including territory mapping and coverage strategies. Budget Management : Manage and allocate the budget for the area's sales activities Control expenses and ensure cost-effective sales operations Prepare and submit timely sales reports, expense reports, and other required documentation SKILLS Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus). Proven experience in sales and sales management, preferably in a similar industry or field.
