Job role - Data Architect - Pre Sales
Location - offshore

Primary responsibilities
. Collaborate with client business and technology leadership to provide data strategy and architecture thought leadership (big picture thinking), trusted consultant to develop need and respective data solutions across the enterprise.
. Review existing data architectures to determine overall effectiveness and compliance with original objectives, develop comprehensive strategies for improving or replacing underperforming areas.
Behavioral and Teaming responsibilities
. Align and interface with CxOs across business & IT to ensure data solutions are relevant to clients' enterprise architecture
. Provide data architect expertise to solution, delivery and portfolio enablement team during development of PoCs and prototypes
. Consultative approach to building client relationship and trust
. Strong self-starter with the leadership abilities to effectively build, develop and manage relationships with internal and client stakeholders.
. Experience of working with waterfall, agile and hybrid development teams
. Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and challenging workload
Core area of expertise
. Hands-on expertise to come up with Enterprise-level Data Strategy, Design Databases to support enterprise applications and physical data modelling according to project requirements for data acquisition and security.
. Strong technical background with hands-on technical expertise and experience in leading the technical team across various technologies related to On-premise / Cloud Database Technologies including SQL Server, Oracle, SSIS, Informatica, MDM, ODS, Data warehouse, Power BI, Qliksense, Tableau, Azure/AWS Services and DevOps Toolsets.
. Strong hands-on experience in building logical data models, MDM, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data security, Data warehouse, ODS, reporting and analytics.
. Will be required to support database administrators, network designers and IT personnel to create effective and secure methods for data backup and recovery
. Research new technologies, data modelling methods and information management systems to determine which ones should be incorporated into enterprise data architectures, and develop implementation timelines and milestones
. A seasoned data solutions architect with good knowledge in Data Management functions like Data Architecture, Data Engineering, DW, BI & Analytics, Data Governance, Data Integration (ETL/ELT), Data Quality, Master/reference Data Management, Metadata Management etc.
. Candidate should have extensive experience in architecting and engineering Data Warehouses, Data Lake, DW, ODS and OLTP data platforms , data processing , reporting on cloud and on-prem.
. Expertise in Bigdata Tools & Technologies including appliances ( Neteezza, Greenplum etc ) & Hadoop eco system components like Hive, HBase, Sqoop, Kafka, Hue & Spark with proficiency in either one of programming languages Java/Python/Scala.
. Expertise in architecting, designing, building and implementing ETL/ELT components using ETL/ELT tools and code ( scala , python) / frameworks like spark, flink, strom
. Expertise in building streaming Data file ingestion and data pipelines for streaming and batch processing
. Expertise / Knowledge in architecting and implementing Data Analytics and Data Engineering on appropriate cloud services on AWS / Azure / GCP / OCI.
. Experience in pre-sales activities : elucidating RFP/RFI & assimilating requirements, drafting solution architecture with appropriate artefacts (conceptual, logical & physical , deployment architecture diagrams), effort estimation etc .
Functional relevance of work-experience
. Experience in leading Data Strategy and Architecture for medium to large IT transformation programmes
. Strong Financial Services industry experience in Insurance and/or Banking domain
. Knowledge of UK/Europe regulatory guidelines and data/information security requirements

. 15-20+ years overall work-experience required
