Opportunity
Within our EMEA/ APAC-wide Internship Program CareerStart@sas we’re offering a 6-month full-time internship in our Customer Advisory team:
The Customer Advisory Teams are SAS Solution experts, who have the power to simplify and communicate to the customers complex technical issues in an easy way. The best collaborator of the salespeople, always ready to discover, study and learn something new in our Solutions and customer domain. The teams create proof of concepts to demonstrate how SAS Solution can solve business problems and reach customer needs.
This is a paid internship. We have 3 different opportunities:
Stream 1 – Generative AI / IOT
What we are looking for:
- Pursuing MTECH/ME in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI
- Bachelor’s in engineering (preferably, computer science, electronics, mechatronics & automation)
- For exceptional candidates only bachelor’s degree would be sufficient
- Good Knowledge in Machine Learning (including deep learning) Languages, Generative AI tools and application development platforms such as LangChain
- Presented papers in conference, publications in journals & interest in cutting edge research.
Stream 2 – Sustainability / ESG / Energy Efficiency
What we are looking for:
- Pursuing MTECH / ME/ MBA in Sustainability, ESG with focus in resource efficiency.
- MBA students (preferably should have bachelors in environmental sciences, sustainability, mechanical, electrical, chemical, mechatronics & automation engineering).
- For exceptional candidates only bachelor’s degree would be sufficient
- Good Knowledge in Resource Efficiency for End User using Smart Meters, Energy Intensive Industries such as Oil & Gas plants, Power Generation Plants, Steel, Cement, Aluminium Plants
- Presented papers in conference, publications in journals & interest in cutting edge research.
Stream 3 – Smart Cities, Transport Management
What we are looking for:
- Pursuing MTECH / ME/ MBA in Urban Planning, Smart Cities with focus on Public Transportation – Metro, Rail Design and Planning & Operations Optimization & City Asset Management & Structural Health Monitoring, City infrastructure construction management
- MBA students (preferably should have bachelors in environmental sciences, sustainability, mechanical, electrical, chemical, mechatronics & automation engineering)
- For exceptional candidates only bachelor’s degree would be sufficient
- Good Knowledge in Traffic & Congestion, Bridge, Roads Management and Structural Health Monitoring
- Presented papers in conference, publications in journals & interest in cutting edge research.
Required qualifications:
- You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.

- Leadership abilities. Your past experiences demonstrate you’ll take initiative and go above and beyond the call of duty.
- You’re interested in the future of Analytics and embrace technology.
- You’re a college student enrolled in an accredited program at the end of course. Or, you are a fresh graduate.
- Target majors include all the STEM faculties, Quantitative Finance or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Python, R, SQL, SAS is preferred.
- Fundamentals of technology including but not restricted to Linux, Concepts of Cloud Technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure/AWS/GCP), Relational/no-sql databases. Working knowledge of one scripting and one programming language would be preferred.
Timeline

- Internship: April - October 2024
