Job description

Roles And Responsibilities - Assign ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and ASA codes and modifier as appropriate and abstract pertinent information from patient records
- Experience in researching and applying coding rules and regulations
- Ensures optimal reimbursement of all cases in compliance with CMS policies and regulations and adhere to Official coding guidelines
- Implements Physician query process when medical records is inadequate, ambiguous or unclear to assign codes
- Work as part of a team and achieve the quality and productivity per process standards
Observes and reports unusual patterns in clinical documentation at a facility and Physician specific levels
Required Skills And Qualifications - Life Science graduates or BDS, BHAMS ,BPT, BPharm/ MPharm
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, Human anatomy and physiology
- AAPC or AHIMA certified Medical coder
- Minimum of 1 yrs experience of Anesthesia coding or 2-3 yrs experience in multi-specialty General surgery coding
- Ability to use a PC in a Windows environment including Microsoft Apps like Outlook, Teams, Excel ,word etc
- Must be self-motivated , responsive and committed to communicate with supervisors
- Have a positive and respectful attitude
