Roles & Responsibilities:
- Execute R&D projects in 'Materials and Process Engineering' group and develop capability for evaluating different aspects of designing tyres based on CAE methods.
- Collaborate with global teams to formulate the problem definition, adopt appropriate methodologies to solve it, extract the results and present it to business/Clients.
- Use FEA software's to carry out following activities in design of Tyre (both 2D as well as 3D) - Choosing of appropriate model, defining the properties, applying boundary conditions and load, meshing, troubleshooting and running of FEA simulation, solving and analysing results.
- Develop expert solutions for the respective projects with effective collaborations across different functional teams, adherence to timelines and budget.
- Identify and get work done by third party vendors.
- Scientific and Technical Ideation & Scoping of new projects in area of modelling /experiments
for solving the technical issues and plant problems.
- Publish/present in National/International Journals/Conferences.
- Demonstrate value to the business through portfolio delivery & represent organization within
ABG & in external forums.
Skills & Knowledge
- Commercial FEA software's like Abacus and Ansys for Tyre Industry. Exposure to other software's will be beneficial.
- Design aspects of a tyre using CAD/CAM approach.
- Strong fundamental understanding of Finite Element Analysis.
Good to Have
- Experience/knowledge in Data visualization, statistical analysis & Data Analytics with AI-ML
Modelling.
- Research experience in R&D projects with implementation success.
- Working for global teams with time zones.
Qualification
- M.E/ M. Tech or Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from premier institute with good academic and professional work experience in Process Modelling.
Experience
- Ph.D - 10 - 13 years of experience.
- M.TECH - 12 - 15 years of experience.
