Cloud Networking Software Development Engineer
Role Overview:
Juniper’s CTO Team is seeking a talented Cloud Networking Software Development Engineer to contribute to cutting-edge cloud networking initiatives. As part of our team, you’ll work across various technology domains, including public cloud networking, traditional networking, and large-scale distributed systems. Your mission will be to drive the realization of hybrid and multi-cloud networking solutions with scalability, resilience, and user-friendliness in mind.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
- Modify and enhance existing systems to improve performance and functionality.
- Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.
- Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems.
- Ensure efficient data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
- Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements.
- Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and offer recommendations based on client needs.
Qualifications:
- Proven 10+ years of work experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
- Familiarity with Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and GCP .
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Client management skills to discuss systems as needed.
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a Cloud Engineer .
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience in public cloud networking, including VPC networking and cloud APIs .
- Proficiency in IP Routing (e.g., BGP, VPN technologies, virtual networking).
- Familiarity with programming languages such as GoLang, C/C++, and Kubernetes .
- Knowledge of virtualization and Linux .
- Understanding of distributed systems , multi-threaded programming , and gRPC .
- Good-to-have skills include exposure to SD-WAN , SASE technologies , security protocols like IPSec , Linux kernel knowledge , database and cloud data store technologies , and distributed messaging systems (e.g., Kafka) .
