Company description Paripurnam India is a newly established sustainability projects design and finance consultancy firm aiming to make available the combined power of stakeholder consultations and surveys with action-oriented analysis for its clients focused on sustainable development of every region and sector in India. The firm endeavours to become a platform for interested youth in the country to make a targeted and immediate contribution through their respective skills and expertise.

Project context Project:

Consultations and Financial Analysis for Rural Climate Adaptation Needs . Rural development based on convergence of multiple development aspirations or needs of different sub-groups builds the foundation for it to meet the national and state objectives of sustainable development and poverty alleviation. Climate adaptation planning requires both ownership and participation from various stakeholders in the region for it to become responsive to emerging needs. Scientific, technological, infrastructure, financial and policy interventions or innovations for climate adaptation will benefit from building upon the traditional knowledge and local human capital. Through stakeholder consultations and financial analysis, the project will develop a report with an outlook to inform strategic climate adaptation and financing interventions by the firm’s clients in rural areas across India.

Role description This is a remote role for a Rural Development and Sociology Analyst. The Analyst will be responsible for conducting research on intersection of climate change adaptation needs with rural development and sociology challenges in the project site, analyzing and interpreting data from various sources. The research outcome will need to be briefing papers to inform the stakeholder consultations, designing training material for the team and contributing to project report. The Analyst will also be involved in project management, including setting goals, creating timelines, and ensuring successful project completion in coordination with Lead Strategist and other team members.

Primary required competencies Detail-oriented, thorough and resourceful in conducting research, collating field data, analysis and conclusion. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder consultations and report writing. Capability to work with a diverse set of team members across multiple locations. Leading team training on rural community engagement and documentation.

Education and experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sociology/ Rural Development/ Social Work or a related field. Rural community engagement experience in the range of 6-10 years for field research/ community surveys/ rural policy development. Demonstrable experience in project management, team training, and documentation.
