As a Support Engineer, you are a technical lead on your team and act as a subject matter expert for one or more services
IT Hardware Concepts: RAID, SAN, x86 Architecture, server debugging management, and networking installation and debugging Linux/Unix Administration: Boot Process, GRUB/LILO, File Systems, Network device and protocol configurations, Directory Structure, Performance Management/Troubleshooting, Base Operating System Install, Scripting: "Perl, Python, Bash", and Core OS Services: "ssh, telnet, ftp, nfs, dns, dhcp, samba, ldap, cvs" Energetic, motivated to make 50 or more cold calls daily; ability to follow up, negotiate contracts and close deals
