Tech Lead & Lead Software Developer, Laravel Full Stack

Location: Hyderabad, Hybrid (In-office and remote work)
We are seeking a talented and experienced Tech Lead & Lead Software Developer with expertise in Laravel Full Stack development to join our team at Goomka. As the Tech Lead & Lead Developer, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the technical aspects of our projects, leading a team of developers, and delivering high-quality software solutions using Laravel framework and open-source technologies.
Responsibilities:Â
- Technical Leadership:Â
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, ensuring the use of best practices and adherence to coding standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, product owners, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and project deliverables.
- Participate in architectural discussions and make informed decisions on technology stack, tools, and frameworks.
- Full Stack Development:
- Design and develop robust and scalable web applications using the Laravel framework and related technologies.
- Build efficient and reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Implement front-end designs and ensure seamless integration with back-end functionality.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead a team of developers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support in their professional growth.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, QA engineers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality software solutions on time.
- Technical Problem Solving:
- Identify and resolve technical challenges and issues that arise during development, offering innovative solutions.
- Perform debugging, testing, and optimization to ensure software meets performance requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, evaluating and implementing new tools and frameworks to enhance development processes.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
- Document technical specifications, system architecture, and development processes.
- Share knowledge and best practices with the development team, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 - 10 years of professional experience in full-stack web development using the Laravel framework.
- Extensive experience with PHP, Laravel, API, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and related front-end frameworks (Vue.js, React, Angular, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of database systems, particularly MySQL.
- Proven experience in leading development teams and managing complex projects.
- Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and coding standards.
- Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Â
- Experience with DevOps practices and deployment processes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS (mandatory), Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of API development and integration (mandatory).
- Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Even though Goomka provides a Hybrid work model, candidates from Hyderabad or willing to relocate to Hyderabad will be preferred.
