Our clientis an RBI-registered Systemically Important NBFC.Our client is looking for "Principal Data Scientist" for Bangalore location.Experience - 4-8yrsCTC - 28LakhsPreferred candidates who have worked for Financial services companiesSkills - Python and Predictive modeling skillsJob Title : Principal Data ScientistDepartment : Data Science DepartmentReport to : SVP, Head of Data ScienceTeam and Work Details :- The scope of work for the data science team is diverse and comprehensive. The Data science team plays a crucial role in making better and faster data driven decisions through the use of Advanced analytics, modelling and machine learning techniques.- The Principal Data Scientists will be responsible for leading large analytical/modelling projects and taking full end-to-end responsibility of projects covering areas of Risk Modelling and Analytics, Systemic Implementation of the Models using APIs, Lending Strategy Development, Bureau Score analytics, Portfolio Risk Management, Collections Models and Strategy, Fraud and Anomaly Detection and other analytics such as HR Analytics and Sales Forecasting.- In addition to managing his/her own work, the Principal Data Scientist will also be involved in reviewing the work of junior members of the team and helping and guiding them, as required.Qualifications :Education: MS/MTech/BTech graduates or equivalent with a focus on data science and quantitative fields (CS, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics)Work Experience: Overall 4 to 8 years of proven experience in AI/ML with Python. Out of the total experience, at least 4 years of experience should be in Lending, FinTech, Banking/Financial ServicesSkills & Competencies :Technical Skills :- Proven experience in usage of Python and SQL- Excellent in programming and statistics- Working knowledge of AWS, Git and PostmanSoft Skills :- Strong Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)- Collaboration and Teamwork- Attention to Details- Problem Solving- Analytical Thinking- Project ManagementCompetencies :- Statistical Analysis and Modelling- Machine Learning Algorithms and Techniques (such as XGBoost, Random Forest, Optimizations Techniques)- Excellent grasp of data handling and processing in Pandas- Prior Experience in the following areas will be a big plus: Building Origination Models/Strategies, Collection - Models and Strategies, Anomaly Detection ModelsBehavioral Traits :- Curiosity- Initiative- Energetic- Bias for Action- Continuous Learning and Growth Mindset (ref:hirist.tech)
