Job description
The OMS ME uses modeling and drafting software routinely in the course of their role, principally Unigraphics/NX/Creo Visio. They also use Team center to access designs/models. Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and the ability to engage with manufacturing floor to resolve issues is an added qualification for the OMS ME role.
Responsibilities: • Interfaces with NPME, Manufacturing Engineers, Technicians and Quality teams to develop optimal operation sequences for parts and assemblies. • Identifies key areas for product improvements and coordinates with other engineering functions to implement changes. • Work closely with manufacturing operations management to prioritize areas for OMS/manufacturing documentation improvements. • Work closely with manufacturing floor and solve the build issue and coordinate with offshore team complete assembly documents. • Makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements. • Participates in New Product Builds & Champions issue resolution. Determines root cause analysis for issues that arise during assembly and/or test of systems; provides Long term corrective action. • Peform time study to measure/record time for production processes. • Performs other duties as assigned. Duties will vary according to the project in progress and/or the specific goals of the department in which the incumbent works. Job Specific Knowledge: • Manufacturing and assembly techniques, bill of materials, product/personel safety requirements, material handling, and trouble shooting. • Requires demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing engineering discipline, theories, practices and principles. • Requires knowledge necessary to perform the job function such as an understanding of the engineering change order process, product development process, value engineering etc Skills: • Requires strong skills in Product technology, Product Configuration and Variant option, change management, problem solving, communication skills, customer orientation, personal effectiveness, team skills, and quality. • Requires additional knowledge of systems and software necessary such as MS Visio, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Education/Experience: 4 to 6 years’ Manufacturing experience with B. Tech in Mechanical Eng.Job tags
