As we transition to cleaner forms of energy, the challenge facing the energy industry in the coming decades is considerable. To support Shell's ambition, the Data Account and Assets Analyst will play a key role in demonstrating ownership in processing requests and or queries (including complex issues) related to interfacing with the ERP systems, in compliance with Process framework.

The role also encompasses specific responsibility for supporting variety of processes such as overseeing the assigned automated, semi-automated & manual data maintenance processes in accordance with existing controls and manage exceptions that the automated process is unable to handle and demonstrating process/technical expertise with ability to resolve manual & automation issues and initiate process improvements.

This is a good opportunity for people who would like to develop a thorough expertise in multiple systems and tools across RDS over maintenance of Finance data objects.

What's the role

  • Involves working with Process Focal Point to ensure that these exceptions can be systematically handled in the future by proactively identifying areas for improvement in the process.
  • Plays an active role as a member in improvement projects and sometimes lead improvement projects.
  • Responsible to interpret and respond to queries related to the requests and ERP related process.
  • Should maintain the records for the work completed like work log, etc. Lead and support other users and focal points in analysis and resolution of issues in these logs
  • Comply with record archival policies
  • Timely and accurate maintainance of files and other similar trackers/logs and perform the resolution of any queries there on

Key Challenges

  • Requires a self-starter with very good verbal and written skills in English, able to collaborate with different types and levels of stakeholders.
  • Exposure to various cultural backgrounds and organizational levels, across diverse time zones and different technical understanding requiring flexibility on working hours
  • Expected to be a meticulous, analytical and quantitative analyst who is able to identify gaps and propose solutions to the PFP
  • Working and supporting changes related to end to end process specifically related to processing.

What we need from you

  • Graduate in Finance & Accountancy – Mandatory
  • Mandatory hands on experience in SAP Security for UAP roles
  • More than 2 years experience in the areas of Finance and Accounts in a large organisation preferred
  • Expertise in finance MRD and SAP
  • Exposure to Process Improvements and Transformation projects is desirable
  • Experience in Stakeholder management in a virtual world is desirable
  • Proven skills in written and spoken English
  • Good knowledge and experience in MS Office applications like MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, and/or any other systems that support or interface with SAP
