As a Dental Hygienist Tutor, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive and hands-on training to students in the field of dental hygiene. Your role will involve mentoring and instructing students on topics including oral health assessment, preventive dentistry, patient education, and dental hygiene procedures. You will play a vital role in preparing students for successful careers as dental hygienists, by fostering critical thinking, strong communication skills, and clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons on dental hygiene topics, ensuring students grasp and retain the information effectively.
- Provide one-on-one guidance and mentoring to students, helping them develop clinical skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Create and update course materials, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Facilitate hands-on practical training, ensuring students gain proficiency in dental hygiene procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in dental hygiene.
- Collaborate with fellow dental hygienists and educators to enhance teaching methodologies and course curricula.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing dental hygienist.
- Hold a certification or degree in dental hygiene or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in oral health assessment, preventive dentistry, patient education, and dental hygiene procedures.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to effectively teach and mentor students.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of clinical excellence.
