Job description

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented MIS Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on providing analytical support to both the Sales and Marketing departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to generate valuable insights. Additionally, the MIS Analyst will provide lead analysis, conduct market visits to stay abreast of industry trends, gather first-hand information, and enhance targeted marketing efforts. Familiarity with productivity management tools is an essential aspect of this role. Key Responsibilities: Data Collation and Analysis:  Utilize various data sources to gather relevant information for analysis, including internal databases, third-party sources, and market research reports.  Cleanse, validate, and pre-process data to ensure accuracy and reliability.  Perform in-depth analysis using statistical techniques and data mining methods to uncover insights and trends.  Identify patterns, correlations, and anomalies in the data to inform decision-making processes. Lead Analysis and Sales Support:  Conduct lead analysis to identify potential sales opportunities and prioritize leads based on predefined criteria.  Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop lead scoring models and optimize lead generation strategies.  Provide sales support by analyzing sales performance, identifying key drivers of success, and recommending actionable insights to improve sales effectiveness.  Assist in the development of sales forecasts, sales quotas, and territory planning strategies. Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis:  Conduct regular market visits to observe industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.  Gather first-hand information from field visits, trade shows, and industry events to enhance market intelligence.  Perform competitive analysis to benchmark our products/services against competitors, identify gaps, and capitalize on market opportunities.  Monitor market dynamics, including pricing trends, product innovations, and regulatory changes, to proactively adjust marketing strategies. Reporting and Dashboard Development:  Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and interactive visualizations to track key performance metrics, such as sales revenue, customer acquisition, and marketing ROI.  Customize reports and dashboards according to stakeholder requirements, ensuring accessibility and relevance.  Automate report generation processes using productivity management tools to improve efficiency and scalability.  Conduct periodic reviews of reporting metrics to ensure alignment with business objectives and identify areas for improvement. Cross-Functional Collaboration:  Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and IT, to streamline data collection processes and improve data quality.  Serve as a subject matter expert on data analysis and interpretation, providing guidance and support to team members as needed.  Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice dissemination across departments to foster a culture of data-driven decision-making.  Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating business requirements into actionable data insights. 6. Presentation and Communication:  Prepare and deliver presentations to key stakeholders, including senior management, to communicate findings, recommendations, and insights.  Present complex analytical concepts in a clear, concise, and visually engaging manner, using data visualization techniques to enhance understanding.  Solicit feedback from stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and incorporate suggestions for continuous improvement.  Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment by encouraging open communication and constructive dialogue among team members. Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, or related field. Must-Haves:  Proven experience of 5 years as a data analyst or MIS analyst, preferably in a sales or marketing environment.  Experience with productivity management tools, such as CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and marketing automation platforms.  Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.  Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel, SQL, and statistical software.  Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.  Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Good to Have:  Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.  Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and predictive modeling techniques.  Experience in conducting market research and competitive analysis.  Certification in data analysis or business intelligence (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).  Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
