Job description
As a Document Controller, you will be part of the NZiCRC PMO team in WSP India and operate out of our Noida office. You will be responsible for maintenance and management of all project related data and documentation across multiple major projects in the NZ business. Your role will support Project and Design Managers and support multi-disciplinary project teams follow established standard operating procedures. You will be tasked with coordination and registration of all key project data and document artefacts within project information management tools, as well as document and conduct data quality audits prior to every external information exchange and transmission including delivery, gate submission etc.
Responsibilities
- Primary focus on Document Control
- Prepare and issue transmittals to client or subcontractor and partners
- Maintain document registers
- Log and distribute incoming documents
- Word Process and Quality Control engineering deliverables (reports etc)
- Manage and maintain filing systems (electronic and hard copy)
- Keep the project team up to date
- Assist the Project Team with Document Management System queries / training
- Support Project Managers with all document control activities
- Be responsible for the information’s security, including access, retrieval, editing and distributing requirements.
- Perform individually under limited supervision.
- Complete other duties as assigned appropriate for the designated grade level.
Key Competencies / Skills
- Past experience in working on international projects, especially in the ANZ region
- Thorough understanding of ISO19650 especially those concerning document management, nomenclature etc.
- Expertise in software like ProjectWise, Acconex etc.
- Sound written and verbal English language skills; Proven written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Problem solving and originality
- Successful candidate will be a dynamic, self-motivated individual focused on delivery timelines and quality excellence.
- Ability to engage in several projects concurrently and becoming involved at an early stage where applicable
- Cultural awareness, conscientious, accountability and an open mind are essential requirements for the role
