Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Back-End Web Developer to join our team at Ottermap. As a Back-End Web Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the back-end architecture and functionality of our web applications. This is an exciting opportunity for a fresher with less than 1 year of experience to kick-start their career in web development.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or similar
- Experience with database management and SQL
- Knowledge of API integration and server management
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Proficient in problem-solving and troubleshooting
- Understanding of security best practices for web applications
- Experience with web frameworks such as Django or Spring is a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the back-end architecture and functionality of our web applications
- Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth integration and seamless user experience
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- Implement security and data protection measures
- Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise during development and in production
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of the application's logic, functionality, and performance
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to propose and implement improvements
- Document and maintain software functionality, code changes, and version control
