Membrane technology Specialist - Salary up to 45K max.

Type – Full Time

The Membrane lab has extensive research activities on basic membrane material development, membrane contactors, membrane gas separation processes, and allied modelling and simulations.

1. As Technical expertise in membrane and nano technology, the candidate will play a role in our ongoing research projects focused on developing membrane-based processes and materials.
2. Responsibilities include simulating process, sizing equipment's, getting quotes, estimating total job / project cost and preparing proposals.
3. Candidate is primarily responsible for designing membrane customized systems.
4. Keep leads and supervisors informed of project status and work progress, required project materials and equipment.
5. Characterize the transport properties of membranes using gas permeation systems. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of chemists, chemical engineers, and material scientists to design membrane materials.
6. Design, develop and test novel materials including electrocatalysts, polymer membranes and redox materials for electrochemical energy related applications.
7. Expertise in Synthesis Fabrication, characterization of membranes Materials and failure analysis of electrochemical materials, components and devices.
8. Assist daily operation of materials/device synthesis, processing and characterization instrumentations including membrane synthesis, gas chromatography, chemical and physical vapor deposition systems.
9. Lead and oversee the technology transfer process, ensuring the successful transition of novel biotechnology and specialty chemical processes from the R&D stage to manufacturing scale.
10. Develop and execute comprehensive technology transfer plans, including detailed timelines, milestones, risk assessments, and resource allocation to ensure successful implementation.
11. Evaluate the technical feasibility and scalability of new processes, identifying potential bottlenecks and proposing solutions to optimize efficiency and productivity.

Desired Candidate Profile -

1. Minimum 3+ years of experience in the field of research and technology transfer work within biotech or specialty chemical manufacturing industries.
2. Graduation is must in field of science. Master is Plus.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical team.
4. Hands on experience as membrane research specialist.
5. Sound knowledge of membrane technology is plus.
6. Strong understanding of processing, chemical manufacturing, and associated analytical techniques.
7. Strong independent problem solving and analytical skills.
8. Experience is designing control tests and performance of control tests.
