Summary:
A Software Engineer with 8+ years of hands-on commercial-grade software development experience involved in code review, process and performance improvement, team or project leadership, mentoring of other team members. An experienced Senior Software Engineer works as an independent player as part of a Development Team, and influences the technical direction of one of ICON's products or family of products. The position reports to Manager or Senior Manager.
What you do
Design and develop and maintain software solutions with minimal supervision and direction.
Acts as Business Analyst on selected projects, defining requirements and other technical specifications, in addition to writing and unit testing code
Delivers to a high quality standard within agreed time scales.
Plans and takes ownership of own work and any issues relating to same.
Solves problems that arise in own area of responsibility.
Develops technical competence on technologies relating to assignments and other technologies as directed
Provides regular feedback to manager and/or designee on work status and problem areas.
Provides input to team project schedule.
Actively supports teamwork both within own group and across Development, by offering assistance to other team members in an effort to achieve team goals.
Participates in code and design reviews
Constantly proposes improvements to systems
What you need
8+ years of experience in Design and development mainly for Oracle eBS R12 but also other associated applications.
Must have experience in PLSQL, SQL, OAF, APEX, SOA and other technologies related to Oracle eBS.
Knowledge of Jasper or other BI reporting tools and good business process / dashboard reporting analysis experience will be an advantage.
