Organization Overview:
Performance Marketing India team works closely with the marketing team in the US to support a wide range of marketing activities, including campaign operations, creative services, project tracking, compliance, and vendor management. The team is involved in every step of the process, from customer acquisition to providing marketing offers and regular updates to keep customers engaged with Synchrony.
Role Summary/Purpose:
Synchrony is continuing to build a world-class Marketing Organization committed to driving results with our retail and payments partners while also delivering leading customer experiences. Within our Marketing Organization, our Document & Content Management (DCM) team oversees the creation, updating, and maintenance of various content and communications.
We are seeking a Sr. Program Manager to oversee and manage the various aspects of document management.
Reporting to the AVP, Platform Manager, this role assists in planning, executing, and monitoring projects. The AVP, Sr. Program Manager will manage a team of developers, define project scopes, oversee task allocation, and provide technical expertise for content management platforms with the Document and Content Management team.This position is responsible for providing constructive feedback to help solve challenges encountered during template and document development.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead efforts to create or modify XML, Schema Definitions (XSD) as needed to create and update content blocks, templates, and documents. Serve as the subject matter expert for document management tool(s).
Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to India-based program managers who are responsible for the tactical execution and delivery of multiple online and printed templates/documents
Work on and assist in developing the platform strategy, vision, and roadmap for document management tools
Identify process improvements to assist with delivering results and accelerating platform value
Support the AVP, Platform Manager in the identification and execution of system enhancements and bug fixes of all technology used within the Document and Content Management Team to create and update documents.
Solve problems autonomously.
Consistently maintain a 99.9 accuracy level for templates, content blocks, and documents.
Liaise with key business partners to support activities pertaining to the interpretation of specifications for new builds, release schedules, deployments, installations, and configurations, including databases used to develop content/documents.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of Experience in computer science, Information Services, Information Technology or in lieu of a degree 6+ Years of Experience
2-3 years of people management experience
Minimum 4+ years of XML experience/ XSD/Data Model/ and JavaScript experience
3+ years of Project Management, preferably Agile
1-2 years of experience with SMARTCOMM content management system
Strong written/oral communication skills
Good understanding of US credit card market
Proven skills in handling multiple projects simultaneously
Desired Characteristics:
Master's degree preferred
Analytical thinking
Prior work experience supporting Marketing functions
Prior work experience in Financial Services, preferably Credit Card
Oracle database experience
Experience working in and navigating a highly regulated business
Strong problem-solving, analysis, and reporting skills
Strong skills and competencies that are relevant to agile methodologies (move to desired)
Eligibility Criteria:

Work Timings:
This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time - 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
