We are currently recruiting on behalf of our multinational European client.
JOB DESCRIPTION Role Specification Role Title: Lab Technician and Metallurgist Role Purpose: Arrange the test certificates and conduct incoming raw material inspection Department: Quality Assurance Location: Pune Reports to: Head, Quality Assurance No. of Reportees: Nil Grade/Level: Jr. Engineer Qualification: Diploma, preferably in Metallurgy / BSc in Physics or Chemistry Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a metallurgical testing lab or inward inspection Gender: Male Age: 25 and above Preferred Industry: Engineering Industry Responsibilities & Key Result Areas (Impact on Business) Timely issuance of test certificates to internal customers Material analysis: Verification of chemical & mechanical properties Ensure correctness of certificates as per company Standard Verify test certificates from suppliers through sample internal inspection Maintain records and data of issued test certificates Inspection of raw materials when necessary, ensuring clearance of GRN within 3 days Flaw detection at incoming stage Closure of supplier NC reports within target date/time Knowledge & Skills required Conversant with material standards, chemical and mechanical properties Metallurgy: Material verification and analysis Preferable familiarity with food grade norms and standards Strong written English and communication skills Proficiency in MS Office Knowledge of material and dimensional inspection Familiarity with ISO 9001, 140001, 45001 Responsibility & Authority Arrange and provide the following certificates to sales: Supplier test certificate - material Co-ordinate and arrange: Certificate of performance declaration Test Report and performance curve Declaration for FDA Certificate EC Declaration of conformity Motors & Test Report Supplier EC Declaration of Conformity – Serial Number Test Report / Supplier Test Report Supplier Inspection certificate - roughness Any other test certificates as per customer requirement Inspection of raw material when necessary, ensuring clearance of GRN within 3 days Maintain records of test certificates in an easily traceable manner Authority to reject raw material if not as per specification Authority to raise NCR to SupplierJob tags
