Job description
Power Distribution and Electrical Components (PDEC) Group plays a key role within Vehicle Engineering of the UD Trucks Technology Bangalore site. This team s scope includes entire Electrical Electronics Hardware Components Development / Maintenance for UD trucks in matured and growth markets
ROLE DESCRIPTIONFunction Owner Vehicle functions understand and define functional requirements for functions like
Active Steering
Gear Selection and Gearshifts
Manual Acceleration
Engine Speed Control
Active Regeneration
Electronically Controlled Suspension Supplementary Functions
Service Braking
Park Braking
Brake Monitoring and Maintenance
ECS Supplementary Functions
Kneeling
Hill Start Aid
Vehicle Stability Control
Cross Functionally lead the development work from Feasibility Gate to End Gate.
Drive and take part in definition of product content.
Drive and take part in developing the requirement specifications (incl. E2E functions) to module level. Break down to components, systems and functions.
Participate in the recommendation selection of development production suppliers.
Cross-functionally anchor concepts technical solutions and support the complete vehicle deliveries (e.g. packaging , certification , weight etc.).
Engineering release (B,C, P) and other product documentation. (e.g. FRS, technical description TR etc.).
Support in project related documentation (e.g. project description , PAP/PDP , risk register).
CAD Modules and prototypes for virtual physical builds as per defined test objects.
Verified and validated HW SW components , systems and E2E functions.
Estimating managing project cost for the sub system including both internal external development cost. (In cooperation with purchase Volvo).
Product cost in co-operation with product finance purchasing.
Project time plans Level 3 covering all activities needed to ensure fully verified validated components , systems and E2E functions .
And, you will also act as,
Must Have:
1. BE / ME / M Tech in Electrical Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent
2. 2. 5+ years of experience in Electrical / Electronic product development.
3. 3. Strong hold in Product Development in the areas of Electrical systems in commercial or passenger car domain
4. 4. In-depth knowledge of Supplier-developed Electrical system; development verification from OEM point of view
5. 5. Proven supplier coordination experience for product development
6. 6. In-depth knowledge of Electrical Hardware EMI / EMC, Environmental and other reliability attributes as well as regulations, certification testing standards
