Job description
Financial Management:
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Ensure compliance with Indian accounting principles and standards.
Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Compliance and Reporting:
Maintain compliance with Indian tax regulations and other statutory requirements.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management and regulatory authorities.
Collaborate with auditors during the audit process and address any audit findings.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the development and management of annual budgets in accordance with Indian financial practices.
Provide financial forecasts and variance analysis to support business planning.
Taxation:
Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely preparation of Indian tax returns.
Stay updated on changes in Indian tax laws and regulations that may impact the organization.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement streamlined accounting procedures.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and reporting systems.
Qualification
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is preferred.
Proven experience 5+ years as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role in an Indian context.
In-depth knowledge of Indian accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting standards.
Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with Tally or similar software is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
