Job description
*Objectives of this role*
1. Expertise in commercial law corporate and business law
2. Provide legal advice that complies with regulatory laws keeping in mind the ethos of the company
3. Ensure that the company avoids all kinds of legal risks and violations with the right corporate law services
4. Evaluate ongoing and potential projects for the company and ensure that it adheres to corporate law stipulations
5. Continually learn the dynamic changing laws and regulations of the corporate law on a national and international scale
*Responsibilities*
1. Provide sound legal counsel whenever needed
2. Curate and review legal paperwork and documentation that protect and support the company s interests while adhering to corporate compliance laws
3. Oversee junior corporate lawyers paralegals and other support staff in legal matters
4. Improvise and oversee the company policies on legal affairs periodically as the company attorney
5. Guide the management team and stakeholders on the legal directions to take
6. Undertake and perform indepth legal research for partnerships mergers acquisitions and other transactions
7. Required skills and qualifications
8. Bachelor s degree in law whether it is LLB or BA.LLB from a recognised university
9. Registered with the Bar Council of India
10. Proficiency and fluency in English
11. Strong analytical and negotiation skills
12. Comprehensive understanding of corporate law
13. Ability to work collaboratively as a team
14. Preferred skills and qualifications
15. LLM or specialisation in company law or corporate law
16. Prior experience working as a corporate lawyer
17. Degree from a national law school
