We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Collections to oversee our housing collections department
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of housing-related financial processes
The Manager of Collections will be responsible for leading a team of collection specialists, implementing collection strategies, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of collection specialists to achieve departmental goals and objectives
Develop and implement effective collection strategies to minimize delinquency rates and improve overall collection efficiency
Analyze collection data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions accordingly
Monitor collection activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements
Provide regular performance feedback and coaching to collection specialists to support their professional development and enhance team performance
Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and legal, to address complex collection issues and ensure timely resolution
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including tenants, property managers, and third-party collection agencies
Prepare regular reports and presentations on collection performance, including delinquency rates, collection activity, and forecasted revenue
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in collections management to continuously improve departmental processes and procedures
Perform other related duties as assigned by management
