Job description
Come join Datacenter Platform Architecture Engineering and Operations team and be part of the exciting datacenter development journey at Intel. We develop and deliver complex system solutions for internal and external customers, both commercial and internal reference designs. The Program/Project Manager (PM) within DEO leads a matrixed, cross functional team that drives the development and implementation of products. This specific position will be responsible for leading complex board and system development programs. The development teams, led by the PM are comprised of technical skillsets within DPEA such as Quality, Design, Thermal, Mechanical and Manufacturing. The PM will lead a Hardware Product Development Team comprised of senior development employees and will be responsible for leading the matrixed team, either internal or external platform and product development teams to ensure the project is aligned with the Intel Product Life Cycle (PLC). Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ensure consistent decisions are made regarding the overall goals and objectives of the assigned program through all phases of the lifecycle.
- Interfaces with internal and external team members to achieve Intel and Industry value propositions.
- Present to Senior Management (Intel and Customer Vice Presidents). Manage interdependencies and integration among multiple teams, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate decision making authority at the program level.
- Sets direction for programs by determining and balancing the technical need vs business impact of project/program decisions and operates within the guardrails.
- Exercises judgment and discretion to develop solutions, remove obstacles and redefine approaches.
- Oversees identification of tasks and research, dependencies, costs and communicates expectations to core team members.
- Creates/tracks/adjusts the program schedule.
- Assesses risks and identifies solutions to the timely, efficient achievement of program goals.
- Ensures that quality standards and budget constraints are met.
- Ensures appropriate progress against schedule and takes remedial action as appropriate.
- Willing to set prioritizes across cross functional groups and resources.
- Understands Data Center technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and associated disciplines.
Minimum Qualifications,
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related degree.
The candidate must have 4+ years of industry experience as Program Manager in Electronics Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
4+ years of experience with data Center technical concepts, architecture, systems, and product development methods.
4+ years of experience presenting to executives and external customers.
Advanced English level.
