School health teacher

About the job:

To teach “health” subject to middle school students in urban government schools and execute School Health Program in these schools.

Responsibilities: ·

To teach the health education curriculum, as developed by Tarang Health Alliance, to Class VI & VII in government schools. ·

Collect data from students regarding assessment. ·

Work with school principal & administration of the schools. ·

Educate the parents of these students on health topics at least once every two months. ·

Execute the Comprehensive School Health Program (CSHP) as developed by Tarang Health Alliance. ·

Infrequently coordinate school trips for these students. ·

Write weekly report and participate in regular online and offline

meetings with Tarang staff.

Qualifications: ·

B.Ed. with minimum of 2 years’ experience of teaching Biology, Science or Life skills to middle school students. ·

Proficient in making power-point presentations to students & adults. ·

Proficient in Hindi & English. ·

Good communication skills. ·

Good writing skills.

Preferred qualifications & skills: ·

Master’s in Education ·

CENTA certification, teacher awards ·

Proficient in Excel ·

IT skills

Salary:

Rs.30-40,000 per month (2 years experience);

Rs.40-50,000 per month (5 years experience)
