We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles that enable our customers and internal teams to utilize BrightEdge's cutting-edge digital marketing software effectively!
Core Responsibilities - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Engineers, and Customer Support, to gather information and understand product features and functionality.
- Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, release notes, and other instructional materials.
- Ensure documentation accuracy, clarity, and consistency, adhering to company and industry standards.
- Regularly update and improve existing documentation to reflect product updates and changes.
- Perform quality assurance on documentation to verify accuracy and usability.
- Manage and maintain a knowledge base, ensuring that it remains up-to-date and readily accessible to both customers and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of templates, style guides, and best practices for documentation.
- Work closely with Product Management and Development teams to stay informed about upcoming product changes and releases.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., English, Technical Communication, Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the technology or software industry.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in documentation tools and software, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe FrameMaker, or Markdown.
- Familiarity with content management systems and version control tools.
- Basic understanding of software development, APIs, and web technologies.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) concepts is a plus.
