The Senior EUC Engineer is part of the End User Computing team consisting of specialist engineers who offer group wide service to the Informa divisions.
Responsibilities
Work as a lead engineer for Admin by Request, Privilege Management tool and ensure that the software is utilized and configured to maximize benefits for the organisation.
Full application lifecycle management including packaging, , upgrading, and patching of applications using SCCM and Intune.
Review output of security tools. Work with the security team on mitigating any vulnerabilities whilst minimizing end user experience and performance.
Architecting and Implementation of build configurations for new laptops and desktops, mobiles using latest technologies. Provide value driven solutions and ensure long-term design goals are set and achieved.
Provide prototype design for End User Team initiatives and assist with approval, planning and decision making.
Exploit industry trends and innovation in the End User Computing space to increase efficiency, reduce operational costs, identify opportunities to automate and provide a better end user experience.
Provide 3rd level support for incidents that cannot be resolved by L1 & L2 teams and take a lead on Problem Management.
Collaborate with other team members team members and work in Agile Scrum methodology.
Requirements:
Minimum of 8 years of prior experience supporting and managing windows desktops in an enterprise environment in a level 3 team.
Experience in designing and implementing solutions within End User Computing space.
Proficiency in writing PowerShell scripts, connecting to APIs and strong eye for automation. Ability to write / modify PowerShell scripts and deploy via SCCM / Intune
Extensive knowledge of Windows 10 deployment and management using SCCM, Autopilot, Active Directory, Azure AD, Intune MDM, Group Policy Management, PowerShell scripts.
Knowledge of packaging and deploying applications using Intune / SCCM and experience in using the PowerShell Deployment Toolkit (PSADT)
Knowledge of using vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus / Defender and remediate the vulnerabilities using Intune / SCCM.
Experience in hardening of Windows desktop devices using CIS, Microsoft security baseline.
Knowledge and experience in working with Virtual Desktop technologies.
The ability to clearly communicate with team members, support teams and the end user community. Provide training / knowledge transfer where applicable.
Possess a 'customer centric' attitude coupled with excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage a busy workload.
Ability to operate as part of a small team and be motivated to self-manage personal deliverables.
7+ years working as 3rd Level support Engineer in a EUC Environment
