We are currently sourcing for our client PKF Brisbane, who are in the process of building their newly created offshore unit in India to support their Australian team. We are looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to join the team.

We are a leading provider of business services, audit, superannuation, tax and specialist services to clients locally and internationally.
Our Business Services division provides a range of tax, advisory and compliance services to clients in various industries. As part of the group's service offering, we provide bookkeeping services, working closely with business owners and managers, as well as accountants from the PKF team.
Tasks amp; Responsibilities: - Prepare compliance and month end job to trial balance and final work paper review stage.
- Review or prepare BAS/IAS and provide assistance with amendment/correction in system.
- Identify and resolve basic problems arising in client financial statements. As well as understanding and being able to request from clients the required information for weekly report, monthly management report, financial statement and income tax return preparation.
- Prepare accounts, income tax returns, company annual returns, Business Activity Statements, Fringe Benefit Tax returns and notices of assessment.
- Any other accountabilities or duties as directed by your superiors which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training.
The Ideal Candidate Will - Have at least 3 years of bookkeeping experience in a public practice accounting firm/ CA firm post articles OR 6+ years of total bookkeeping experience.
- Be skilled in MYOB and Xero (essential) and other accounting packages (not essential, but a bonus)
- Be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
- Work well in a team environment
- Display excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Completed an Accounting related Degree
- Ideally undertaking or has completed CA, CPA, or IPA
