Job Purpose The portfolio analytics role helps access databases on epidemiology, build early stage models on potential of drugs/molecules, evaluate COGs and make recommendations on thresholds to enable early development set thresholds, build visualization tools that will help interact with senior leaders on the status of our portfolio, bring in quantitative skills eg simulations that enable discounted cash-flow models on advanced programs to help arbitrate choice at stage gates and make recommendations on portfolio prioritization, apart from contributing in evaluating quantitative models for in-licensing opportunities from time to time. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (AOR) Pipeline Biologics Ideation and Selection Undertake continued monitoring and and evaluation of Biologics products in various technological domains Undertake medical scientific and commercial evaluation of the biologics products Develop pipeline recommendations based on scientific and business and strategic rationale Liaise with cross functional teams to develop recommendations Facilitate pipeline decision making and pipeline choices 2. Operational Excellence and Scalability of the Function Establish and Improve processes and systems to increase efficiency and scale of Biologics pipeline selection and prioritization Emphasis on process automation and digitization of the process and governance 3. Financial Modeling and Valuation Owning the models for set of assets & strategic action such as In/ Out licensing Financial Modeling - Develop and own detailed valuation models for various molecules / technologies that enable critical decisions such as - Pipeline Prioritization, In/Out Licensing, and various strategic actions Analog Identification and assessment - Development of financial models and validation based on analog identification and validation of the same Assumption Development for Modelling - Work with subject matter experts from various functions and front end teams as well as through analytics develop assumptions and scenarios Long Term Forecasting - Understand the therapy area, and predict long term potential of the molecule based on qualitative and quantitative assessment of the molecule/ therapy area 4. Integrated Product Strategy Integrated biosimilar product strategy. Own the definition and update the strategy in alignment with the front end and backend teams. Strategy to optimize for various requirements to cover for the widest set of markets such as manufacturing, formulation and presentation, use, launch scenarios, profitability measures etc. Work with cross functional teams to develop a product road map from inception to commercialization. Define & govern critical decision points over product life cycle –development to commercialization & beyond Qualifications Education Qualifications : MBBS, MD with MBA from a premiere institute preferred. Experience : Preferred to have 3-5 years of experience in portfolio management/ BD, expected to do hands on work. Must have hands on work experience or knack for financial modeling and Strong analytical approach Proficency in MS Excel, Powerpoint is a must SQL and Database Development and Management / Advanced analytics experience is preferred Business Understanding • Working knowledge of Biologic business and development • Knowledge of healthcare databases, routine financial reporting, and strong ability to handle analytical dataJob tags
